Who IS the Munson?

In honor of Thor making his triumphant return to the Marvel Universe this past Wednesday, this edition of OLD SCHOOL brings the god of thunder as you have never seen him before……

Your eyes are not deceiving you, Thor goes power mad as he attempts to destroy the United Nations! This cannot be… what would cause the god of thunder to act so irrationally? The answer my friends is simple… Loki, with the help of Mephisto, has taken over Thor’s body (does that make him LoThor??)while trapping Thor’s spirit in the body of his evil brother. Loki decides to run amok on Midgard, ruining the noble god’s good name in his attempts to use his brother’s powers to take over the world.

The Warriors Three and Sif attempt to free Thor’s spirit from Mephisto’s clutches so it leaves Balder to attempt to stop LoThor’s evil plans. Of course, Balder gets the business end of Mjolnir in this confrontation!

The Norse gods succeed in freeing the real god of thunder, and he uses Loki’s own powers against LoThor in a classic confrontation pitting might against magic! LoThor tries brute strength to defeat his brother…..

In the end this battle is won not by the strength of LoThor’s mighty muscles, but by the intelligence shown by Thor! Thor uses LoThor’s own rage aginst him as he taunts him into hurling Mjolnir at him, and therein lies Thor’s one chance….

Good triumphs over evil with the power of what John Rambo once said was “the greatest weapon known to mankind”… the power of the mind!* Check back next week for more OLD SCHOOL!!! goodness, until then check out the other fighters of Round 3, and tell the urban devourer of worlds that Munson sent ya!.
